Frequently Asked Question
Your H&H employee e-mail address will be in the format: FirstName.LastName@HHDomain. In the case of "personal' e-mail addresses, the HHDomain part will be "hhokc.net". If it is "hhokc.com" instead, stop reading this and refer to the FAQ titled "How do I access my H&H employee business e-mail (HHOKC.com)?".
Your H&H employee personal e-mail account is stored on, and accessed via, a standard IMAP/POP3 e-mail server. You may access your H&H employee personal e-mail in any of several ways:
- directly with a web browser;
- with any desktop/laptop e-mail client that supports standard IMAP/POP3 access, including Microsoft Outlook for PC/MAC, Microsoft New Outlook, MAC Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, EMClient, and a host of other such applications;
- with your Apple iPhone and iPads or Android Phones and tablets.
We highly recommend you avoid using POP3. If you think you must use POP3, please contact an IT Support Representative for additional information.
Web Browsers
To access your e-mail directly with a web browser:
- Make sure you know your full e-mail address and password; if not, contact an IT Support representative;
- Browse to https://webmail.hhokc.net;
- Enter your full e-mail address and password in the spaces provided and click "Log in".
- If this is the first time you have tried to log in with a browser, you will be presented with the "Roundcube" home page containing several options allowing you to access your e-mail and potentially change some e-mail settings; for now, just click the checkbox for "Open my inbox when I log in" and then click the "Open" button; (To prevent bad things from happening, do not use any of the other options on the Roundcube home page without checking with an IT Support representative first);
- You should now see a page giving you access to your e-mail; the page will function in a generally standard way if you are familiar with using e-mail via a browser; otherwise, contact an IT Support representative to schedule some time for training.
E-mail Client Applications
- Make sure you know your full e-mail address and password. If not, contact an IT Support representative.
- Most modern e-mail client applications will be able to "auto discover" the correct settings to use to connect to your new H&H employee personal e-mail account. This includes most current e-mail client apps for iPhones and iPads along with most current Android phones and tablets. You will just need to follow the application's requirements for setting up a new e-mail account using your full e-mail address and password. Once the account is properly configured, you will be able to use the application to receive and send e-mail.
- If the "auto discover" method does not work and you wish to try manually configuring the new account, the manual (advanced) settings information is shown below:
Username: full e-mail address
Password: use the e-mail account's password
Incoming Server: mail.hhokc.net
Incoming Ports: IMAP Port: 993
Outgoing Server: mail.hhokc.net
Outgoing Port: SMTP Port:465
